To change who you are is pointless. No one will love you. They will love the person you have changed into, which is not Gods creation… it is a deadly reaction of peer pressure and pathetic acts of trying to fit in with societys forming expectations. It is okay not to have a boyfriend, to not be understood… because God loves you and he knows you. He will place the absolute right people in your life specifically for you. There are no stereotypes created by God.
i love you

and having God put it back together has never seemed more appealing. Because in that, I can let go of my comfort zones and live on raw faith.
In a lot of ways, our relationship with God is a paradox. For example, only in giving ourselves completely to Christ do we become free. And only when we let go of the things that hold us back, which hurts to let go of, do we find true happiness.
The thought of having to let things go and give them to God used to terrify me completely. But now, I’m coming to realize how necessary that process is, and how much I want it. Because once those barriers are stripped away, there we stand completely uncovered and exposed in the presence of God. And in that vulnerability, we learn to lean and trust God; not just half our hearts, but with every ounce of our being. We finally come to understand the promise that God is going to build us up and make us into beautiful people.
So, God, I invite You to strip away my insecurities that I use as a blanket to protect myself. I invite You to break down walls, make me vulnerable to You. I thank You so much for the growth that You’re already doing in my life and in my heart. I thank You for Your great love and Your great grace.
